Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) are small pieces of data stored on your device. We use them to run the site, remember your choices and — with your consent — to understand usage.
2. Your control
When you first visit, we ask for your consent. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot work without them; everything else is off until you opt in. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via , or by clearing your browser storage. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| nit-theme | Necessary | Remembers your light/dark theme choice. | Local storage | Persistent |
| nit-cookie-consent | Necessary | Stores your cookie consent choices (the record of this decision). | Local storage | Up to 12 months |
| (analytics) | Analytics | Set only with consent — aggregated, anonymised usage measurement. | Cookie / storage | Up to 12 months |
| (preferences) | Preferences | Set only with consent — remembers non-essential personalisation. | Cookie / storage | Up to 12 months |
We currently set only the necessary items by default. Analytics/preferences entries appear here only if and when you enable those categories. We do not use advertising/marketing trackers.
4. Categories
- Strictly necessary — security, your theme, and storing this consent. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — aggregated, anonymised usage insight to improve the site.
- Preferences — remembering non-essential choices.
- Marketing — campaign relevance. Not currently in use.
5. Third parties
Static assets may be served via a content delivery network (CDN). Any third party that processes data on our behalf is bound by a data-processing agreement. See our Privacy Policy for details on processors and international transfers.
6. Changes & contact
If we change the cookies we use, we’ll update this page and, where consent is affected, ask you to review your choices. Questions: privacy@nitstack.com.
